Antique JAPANESE Glazed Earthenware LIDDED TEAPOT – Marked

Description

This heavy old earthenware teapot came from
an estate sale years ago.  It is marked on one of the feet with a symbol as
shown in one of the photos.  I tried to research it, but with no results.
Measuring 5 inches high with the lid in
place, it is 8 and 3/4 inches across from the spout to the outer edge of the
handle.
There is a small steam-hole in the lid. 
The deep brown glaze shows shading and striations along the handle and along the
spout.  The interior is smoothly glazed and there are no stains.
